The Archangel Centers locations, Tinton Falls NJ and Charlotte NC clinics

Two outpatient clinics, one clinical model

Both Archangel clinics share leadership, clinical model, and program design. Jamie Salsberg, Clinical Director, leads clinical practice across both locations. The intake battery (ASAM Criteria, LOCUS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, biopsychosocial), the MAT formulary (Suboxone, Vivitrol, Sublocade for opioid use disorder; naltrexone, acamprosate, disulfiram for alcohol use disorder), and the trauma-informed, family-integrated approach run the same at both clinics.

Where the two locations differ is local: state licensure, county service area, the insurance carriers we most often verify benefits with, and a handful of program-schedule specifics. This page summarizes both clinics side by side so you can find the one that fits.

Tinton Falls, New Jersey

Our New Jersey clinic is at 44 Apple Street, Suite 3, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724, about ten minutes south of Red Bank off Route 35. The clinic opened in December 2025 in a purpose-built space and operates under New Jersey DMHAS state licensure for outpatient SUD and co-occurring mental health programming.

The Tinton Falls program runs a six-day Partial Care clinical week (Monday through Saturday), which compresses the high-risk weekend gap that drives so many early relapses. Virtual treatment at IOP and OP intensity is available for NJ residents who meet clinical criteria. The clinic serves Monmouth County and the broader Jersey Shore, with surrounding-area pages for Red Bank, Asbury Park, Long Branch, Freehold, Middletown, Neptune, Toms River, and Brick.

See the Tinton Falls clinic page for the full program overview, the facility page for a walkthrough, and the New Jersey state hub for state-specific procedural guidance (involuntary commitment, NJ Medicaid coverage, drug court, county resources).

Charlotte, North Carolina

Our North Carolina clinic operates in Mecklenburg County under appropriate North Carolina state licensure for outpatient SUD and co-occurring mental health treatment. The Charlotte clinic delivers the same clinical continuum as Tinton Falls, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient (OP), with a full clinical day Monday through Friday.

The clinic draws clients from across Mecklenburg County and the broader Charlotte metro along the I-77 and I-85 corridors, including surrounding cities and counties: Matthews, Huntersville, Pineville, Concord (Cabarrus County), Gastonia (Gaston County), Mint Hill, Cornelius, and Indian Trail (Union County).

See the Charlotte clinic page for the full program overview, the facility page for a walkthrough, and the North Carolina state hub for state-specific procedural guidance (NC involuntary commitment, NC Medicaid coverage, NC Recovery Court, Mecklenburg County resources).

How to pick the right clinic

Geography is usually the deciding factor, if you live in Monmouth County or anywhere along the Jersey Shore, Tinton Falls is your clinic; if you live in Mecklenburg County or the broader Charlotte metro, Charlotte is your clinic. The clinical model is the same at both, so the question is less "which one is better" and more "which one is closer."

For clients in between or outside the immediate service area, the admissions team handles the clinical match. NJ residents not near the Tinton Falls clinic may qualify for virtual outpatient at IOP or OP intensity. NC residents in or near the Charlotte metro receive in-person care. Out-of-state clients are routed to the closer clinic with travel and lodging coordinated through admissions.

What both clinics share

  • Same trauma-informed care, default across groups + individual; trauma-informed care available in individual therapy

Frequently Asked Questions

Do both clinics treat the same substances?

Yes. Both clinics treat the full range of substance use disorders: alcohol, opioids (including fentanyl, heroin, prescription opioids), cocaine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, prescription drug misuse, and polysubstance use.

Are the program schedules the same at both clinics?

Mostly, with a few differences. The Tinton Falls Partial Care program runs a six-day clinical week (Monday through Saturday); the Charlotte Partial Hospitalization Program runs Monday through Friday. IOP and OP schedules are similar at both. Virtual treatment is offered for NJ residents only; Charlotte clients receive in-person care.

What if I live equidistant from both clinics?

Rare but it happens, usually for clients in southern Virginia or eastern Tennessee. The admissions team handles the clinical and logistical match in the intake call.

Can I transfer between clinics during treatment?

Possible in specific circumstances (e.g., a planned move). The clinical team coordinates the transfer directly, including the handoff of the primary therapist relationship and continuity of medication management.

Do you have plans to open more clinics?

No active announcements. The current focus is the depth of the program at the two existing clinics rather than geographic expansion.
